Hi, ich habe ein Asus-Board mit 3Com 3C940 GBit-Nic [Marvell-Chip].
die wird auch erkannt, aber beim Zuweisen (z.B. als Grün) bleibt das Setup stehen, keine Reaktion mehr.
Auch Alt+Fn funktioniert nicht. Alt+Strg+Entf führt aber zum geordneten Restart - irgendwas lebt also noch.

Unter IPFire und Ubuntu 9.04 arbeitet der Chip mit dem/einem skge-Treiber zufriedenstellend.

Kann ich irgendwie herausbekommen, was ihn stört?

Eine weitere Onboard-Karte die bisher immer mit dem sis900-Treiber lief wird nicht angezeigt.
Ich habe mit modprobe sis900 das Modul laden können (ohne Fehlermeldung), aber sie taucht nicht im Setup-Menü auf.

Das der kaweth USB-Adapter nicht gelistet wird ist normal- oder? Ich habe im Hinterkopf, dass die 1.9er keine USB-Nic's unterstützen?

Edit:
Ich habe versucht (wie im 1.4er) in der /var/ipcop/ethernet/setting die gewünschten Zuordnungen einzutragen, aber das hat (auch nach Reboot) nicht zum Erfolg geführt. Die 3C940 wird weiterhin als "unused-1" im Setup angezeigt.
Bei ifconfig habe ich nur die "lo"-Schnittstelle.

Vergiss die sis900 - die funktioniert ... irgendein Spassvogel hatte sie im BIOS abgeschaltet :oops:

Eigentlich ging es mir ja um die 3c940er-Onboard-NIC (s. Betreff):

hwdetect hat geschrieben:

Die wird im Setup-Netzwerkadapter-Zuweisen als "unused" angezeigt. Aber wenn man was zuweisen will friert die Kiste ein.
Das einzige was nach meiner Erkenntnis noch "funktioniert" ist Strg+Alt+Entf. Selbst Alt+F2 zeigt keine Reaktion.

Im Log habe ich auch nix hilfreiches gefunden - oder ich hab das entscheidende Log noch nicht gefunden ...

Aber die NIC würde ich schon gerne in Betrieb nehmen ... unter anderen Systemen läuft sie ja.
Scheint irgendwie am skge-Modul zu liegen :ka:

Verschiebe vor starten von setup die Datei /usr/sbin/ethtool nach /tmp. Und probier ob das zuweisen funktioniert.
